The European Medical Journal (EMJ) reported that ZOE nutritionist Dr Federica Amati warned of gaps in GLP-1 care. She spoke at The Economist’s Future of Health Europe event on 3 November.1

Amati called for care to assess physical function alongside weight and include nutrition and exercise support. She said adequate protein and resistance training should be part of treatment.1

She presented an analysis of 20 trials, none of which measured physical function, the report said. She called for more attention to grip strength, walking speed and chair-stand performance.1
