Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc World Series plans first India race for 2027

The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) World Series announced a partnership with Indian endurance-sports company Yoska to bring the circuit to India. The first Indian event was targeted for 2027, with more events to follow.1,2

Yoska was weighing three or four host locations, including the Himalayan foothills, the Western and Eastern Ghats, and northeast India. The events are built for amateur age-group runners, and Yoska said it would not rush the launch just to meet its 2027 target.2

For trainers with trail-running clients in India, the planned local event could offer a new competition goal, although Yoska had not named a host location.2
