Natural bodybuilding championship sets qualification rules, offers 48 pro cards
The 2027 event was set for May 14–15 in Pittsburgh and listed 48 professional cards. Official rules set entry routes and made card awards depend on competitor counts.
The National Physique Committee (NPC) announced its 2027 World Natural Championships for May 14–15 in Pittsburgh, as part of the Pittsburgh Power & Fitness Festival. The announcement said natural athletes from around the world could compete and listed 48 professional cards.1
The rules set the qualification period from May 16, 2026, through April 18, 2027, and excluded novice and junior categories. Under NPC rules, open athletes qualified by competing in an eligible class at a natural regional or natural pro qualifier.2
Canadian Physique Alliance athletes could qualify with a top-three finish at a natural regional or by competing at a natural pro qualifier. NPC Worldwide athletes could qualify with a top-three regional finish or a top-five finish at a natural pro qualifier.2
Masters athletes qualified by competing in a 35+, 40+ or 45+ category at a natural contest run by the Canadian Physique Alliance, NPC or NPC Worldwide. The rules made pro-card awards conditional on competitor counts in each division or category.2
