Gold’s Gym said its partnership with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) would make NASM’s Certified Personal Trainer certification the required credential for Gold’s Standard Personal Trainers at company-owned locations.1

The company also said it was integrating NASM’s ClubConnect Pro platform across those locations to support trainer development, coursework and trainer-client engagement. The Physique and Bodybuilding Coach specialization would be available as a standard advanced credential for trainers seeking further credentials.1

The announcement scoped the certification requirement to company-owned locations and did not say whether it would extend to franchise gyms.1
