HYROX and XENOM announce strategic partnership

HYROX and XENOM said the partnership rests on one vision: making fitness the largest sport on Earth. Yahoo Finance reported that HYROX's standardized competition consists of eight one-kilometer runs and eight functional workout stations. Yahoo Finance reported that XENOM uses 10 fixed events and a universal point-based scoring system measuring strength, endurance, gymnastics, and technical ability. Yahoo Finance reported that professional athletes and everyday competitors complete the same HYROX format, which gives participants a finish time they can compare across events, countries, and seasons.1

Christian Toetzke said runners can choose from races around the world, while gym members lack a comparable stage on which to test themselves. Christian Toetzke said long-distance runners generally need training partners who can maintain a similar pace. Keith Barlow said there is nothing for the wider fitness community to coalesce around. Yahoo Finance reported that in a gym, people at different fitness levels can complete the same timed workout together by adjusting reps, speed, or load.1
