GymNation launches 1 million-dirham startup fund
GymNation said its new foundation included The First Rep, an incubator offering 1 million UAE dirhams in direct investment to early-stage fitness, wellness, health and technology businesses. Successful applicants could also get hands-on business support and access to more than 200,000 members.

GymNation said on Nov. 4 that it had launched The First Rep, an incubator offering 1 million UAE dirhams in direct investment to early-stage founders.1 The program targeted early-stage businesses in fitness, wellness, health and technology across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Thailand.1
Successful applicants were to pitch directly to GymNation's founders and could receive funding, hands-on support to launch and scale, and access to more than 200,000 members for research, testing and growth.1 The release listed training innovations, recovery, nutrition, mental wellbeing, sports technology, wearables, member experience and digital health among areas of interest.1
For trainers and gym operators building products in those fields, the fund paired potential capital with access to a large audience for product testing.1
